Who I Am & What I Believe

I’m a therapist, a parent, a veteran, and someone who deeply believes in the power of connection. I believe therapy should be a space where people feel safe, supported, and truly seen—where growth happens through trust, not pressure. My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and the belief that change is always possible, no matter where you're starting from.

  • I work with children who are struggling with big emotions, challenging behaviors, or life transitions; with parents who want support, tools, and a stronger connection with their kids; and with military families navigating the unique stressors of deployment, reintegration, and frequent change. Whether you're seeking support for your child or for yourself as a parent or caregiver, this is a space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

  • I bring over a decade of diverse experience to my work as a therapist, with a background that bridges the worlds of education, mental health, and military service.

    I served in the military for 11 years, which shaped my commitment to resilience, structure, and compassionate leadership. For the past 10 years, I’ve worked as a licensed therapist across private practice and nonprofit settings, supporting children, families, and adults through life’s most challenging moments. I have my Master’s of Psychology and am in the finishing stages of recieving my Doctorate of Couples and Family Therapy.

    My professional experience includes:

    • 10 years working in schools, including 5 years as a school counselor

    • 3 years as a school-based therapist

    • 2 years providing Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS)

    • Serving as a 504 Plan Coordinator, IEP team member, and part of school emergency response teams for crises and traumatic events

    • Conducting psychiatric evaluations and writing 5150 holds while working in an emergency room setting for Placer County

    This background allows me to understand the systems that impact children and families—from the classroom to the emergency room—and tailor support that is realistic, respectful, and deeply informed by experience.
